Day 2 Session 1
What Does the Future Want?
Principal delegates: Luiz Alberto Oliveira, Telo Tulku Rinpoche
Respondents: Urs Mueller und students of ZHAW
Looking ahead into planetary futures, we interrogate and call upon the voices of futurity from our diverse positions: the spiritual, ancestral, scientific, artistic, poetic, the non-human, the vegetal. Invoking new prefigurative perspectives on what life and politics could look like in the age of climate change, perhaps it is necessary to question the future-to-come rooted in the mud, living in the trees, frozen in the melting glaciers, in the DNA of extinct species, but also in the poetry and visions of our ancestors. This language of the future could be the new frontier of politics.
